The role

This position will be accountable for providing a professional and comprehensive administrative, financial and project management service to a portfolio of grant funded projects. You will work closely with Head of Grants to complete application process and submission requirements. Once a grant is awarded, you will ensure that all involved are educated on the requirements and are prepared to comply with processes to submit requests for reimbursement.

Key responsibilities

  • Administer and assist with all grant application processes
  • Ensure receipt and accuracy of grantee paperwork (contracts & reports)
  • Accountable for tracking/reporting of projects including budgeting and financial progress reporting
  • Prepare funding reports in line with stakeholder expectations
  • Work to anticipate and resolve any financial or operational issues arising
  • Effectively resolve grantee or stakeholder queries
  • Liaise efficiently with office team, stakeholders, supporters and grantees
  • Adhere to, and help evolve, organisation procedures
  • Ad hoc duties as the resourcing needs of the team require additional support in other areas

  • Confident with excellent office administration, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
  • An effective implementer of agreed actions, enthusiastic, motivated and flexible

Requirements

  • Tech-savvy – must be proficient with Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience of working with grant management portals specifically Smart-Simple is desirable
  • Strong administration skills
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role is essential
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong phone skills required
  • Organised and Dynamic
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and establish good working relationships
  • Always maintain confidentiality
