EVERY CHILD DESERVES THE OPPORTUNITY TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL
Imagine, for one second, growing up with gangland violence on your doorstep, or in a home with addiction, overcrowding, isolation or poverty.
Fast forward two years and three lockdowns. Remove social spaces, shut down the projects you love and cut you off from that positive person that backs YOU. For children and young people living with this reality, the pandemic has been catastrophic.
1 in 5 children in Ireland are now living in poverty.
Battling silently.
So, we need your help to rebuild THEIR confidence, hope and resilience to succeed in life. With your support, we will back proven and transformational youth projects. Together, we can create prospects and a fighting chance for a generation at risk.
Every child deserves that.
A STITCH IN TIME
The pandemic has doubled down on young people living in disadvantage. The effects could be felt for years to come.
They need us to listen. And they need to be given the resources they need to get life back on track.
IT’S TIME TO REBUILD.
How you can help
Our aim is to reach 45,000 children and young people who are living in disadvantaged circumstances across Ireland.
To do this, we need to support a wide range of youth projects as well those incredible youth workers who work tirelessly, and often voluntarily, to ensure children and young people have a future to look forward to.
But we can’t do it without you.
Whether you are a business or an individual you can help.
It is so important and so right that we – Ireland – stand up and act for Generation Pandemic.

WHY US?
The Irish Youth Foundation speaks up for young people and children from disadvantaged backgrounds and supports them through the key transitions of their lives. We also champion the incredible work of the youth workers and project leaders that support them who are unsung heroes, despite being part of the fabric in numerous local communities. Often they’re the only good adult in a young person’s life and their work is fundamental to the success of the projects across Ireland.
We have feet on the ground.
Working closely with everyone from grassroots organisations and after-school clubs to national charities, we have an in-depth understanding of what’s needed and where, and fund innovative programmes that deliver real results for children and young people.
We have over 30 years’ experience, have supported over 2,000 projects and awarded over €20,000,000 in grants to Irish youth services.
We rapidly respond to what’s needed and carry out the due diligence on all the projects we support.
The Irish Youth Foundation is a registered Irish charity (CHY5957), Registered Charity Number (RCN) 20009878. The Irish Youth Foundation is fully compliant with all relevant Irish charity governance, legislation and regulatory frameworks.
