The Irish Youth Foundation invites Udemy staff to take part in the Milan to Rome Charity Cycle and join our 50 strong peloton.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BECOME AN IRISH YOUTH FOUNDATION GLADIATOR?

We’re looking for 50 Gladiators to cycle from Milan to Rome in aid of the Irish Youth Foundation. Join our peloton and cycle from Milan to Rome while raising funds for the Irish Youth Foundation. We will be passing through the iconic cities of Parma, Pisa, Florence and Siena en route. Saturday 24th September to Saturday 1st October 2022.

Arriving in Milan on 24 September and departing Rome on 1 October.

Fully supported tour

Milan to Rome is an epic route and with over 700km and six days in the saddle, you are going to need a little support along the way. The Braking Away Cycling Tours crew will be with you for every pedal stroke to the finish line.

Hand-picked accommodation

After a long day of cycling, we know how important a good night’s sleep is. We have toured the route and hand-picked the most welcoming hotels for you. A number of them have Health and Spa facilities.
Official Milan to Rome kit
Each Cyclist who registers for the Milan to Rome IYF Cycle will receive a specially designed Cycling Kit*. The Kit will include a top quality Cycling Jersey and bib shorts.
*To qualify for the full kit, you must register before the 30th June.
Raise funds for an incredible cause
One in five children in Ireland is living in poverty. All money raised will go towards supporting children living in disadvantaged communities to reach their full potential.

Rates

The costs of participating is €1,850 per person

This includes:

  • 7 nights hotel accommodation (sharing) in 3*/4* hotels.
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner each day of the cycle
  • Bike transfer from Dublin to Milan and from Rome to Dublin
  • Baggage transfer each day to the next hotel
  • Fully supported tour including cycle guides, mechanics and safety vehicles
  • Paramedic with response vehicle from start to finish.
  • Irish Youth Foundation Milan to Rome cycling jersey and bib shorts.
  • Finisher’s trophy.
  • Coach transfer from Bergamo Airport, Milan to your hotel. (There will be one coach collection point at Bergamo Airport on September 24th.

What is not included in entry fee

  • Flights to and from Italy.
  • Travel Insurance to include personal travel, bike and personal liability.
  • Bike and personal equipment

A non refundable deposit of €500 to maintain your slot is required by May 1st. A further payment of €800 is required by June 31st and the remaining €550 deposited by August 1st 2022.

Fundraising is an important aspect of the cycle. As well as the participation fee, the IYF is asking participants to fundraise a minimum of €2,000 to participate in the cycle. We will provide you with your own fundraising page and link to share with friends and family.
