How you can
make a difference.

Our aim is to reach 45,000 children and young people who are living in disadvantaged circumstances across Ireland.

To do this, we need to support a wide range of youth projects as well those incredible youth workers who work tirelessly, and often voluntarily, to ensure children and young people have a future to look forward to.

But we can’t do it without you. Whether you are an individual or a business you can make a difference.

and make a difference to the lives of children and young people in your local communities. This is one of the toughest challenges we’ve face. But the leadership within the youth sector, the frontline staff, the skills, wisdom and infrastructure are all in place, and ready to be mobilised in order to turn things around. All we’re missing are the resources and the empathetic and practical leaders with the vision and values to partner us and transform a gerenation. All we’re missing is you.

Ask your staff to take part in Children’s Hour 2022

Each November, on World Children’s Day, companies across Ireland take part in our Children’s Hour Campaign and ask staff to donate one hour of their pay to support children and young people across Ireland.

It’s time for comtemporary patriotism. I’ve no doubt we’ll save the country. But we also need to save the country’s young and vulnerable.

The fund supports projects that seek to strengthen resilience in young people and help them manage anxiety, with the emphasis on early intervention and prevention. In 2020 the fund supported 11 projects nationwide, directly impacting 11,994 young people between the ages of 12 to 19 years.

Since 2017, health insurance company Vhi has partnered with IYF to deliver ‘Run for Fun’ an eight-week programme that builds self-esteem and resilience of young people through a specialised fitness and nutrition programme. Since its pilot in 2017, ‘Run for Fun’ has directly engaged 267 young people nationwide. Together they have completed over 1,000 weeks of training and run over 500 kilometres.

For the past three years, IYF has partnered with construction company Linesight to support the numeracy education of primary school children living in areas where Linesight operates. Glandore, Co-Working Office Space

As a recruitment company, our aim is to enhance the lives of professionals and working with the IYF provides an incredible opportunity to make a truly meaningful impact on the lives of Ireland’s youth, the future of our workforce. We partnered with the IYF as from the onset, we shared many common values including growth and engagement. We found the team’s passion, commitment and dedication to the foundation’s mission very inspiring, and we wanted to contribute in every way possible. We have been involved in a number of the IYF’s nationwide campaigns and fundraising initiatives, as well as hosting our own events for which the team have been greatly supportive. Through our partnership, we have seen first-hand how the funds are distributed to extremely worthy causes and we are proud to be involved in shaping a more inclusive society.

We’re on a mission to spread a message of equality through what we wear. We fully support the Irish Youth Foundation’s mission to ensure children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds have an equal opportunity to reach their full potential in life. That’s why we donate €1 to the IYF from every jumper we sell.

As actuaries we are fortunate to have had the education, opportunities and support to fulfil our potential in a rewarding profession – something we can often take for granted. Through this Charity Partnership, we will help raise additional funds for the Irish Youth Foundation that will be used to support, educate and train young people who are living in difficult circumstances through no fault of their own.
